Support Wilms' Tumor Research

Wilms’ tumor is the most common form of kidney cancer in children. About 500 new cases of Wilms’ tumor are diagnosed every year in the United States, and this number has not changed in many years. Wilms' tumor accounts for about 8% of all cancers in children. The incidence of this tumor peaks at about three years of age and becomes less common as children get older.
In 2005, seeing the need to help support research, Kris Rech and Diane Brestel initiated the Wilms' Tumor Fund. Through their leadership and now those of many other families impacted by Wilms, more than $24,887 has been raised through events, tributes and corporate contributions from September 2009 through November 2009. CureSearch recognizes and applauds Kris and Diane for their ongoing efforts to help us reach the day when every child with cancer is guaranteed a cure.
Your donation in support of life-saving research will provide hope to families and resources to researchers across the country that are leading the search to conquer childhood cancer.
