CureSearch for Children's Cancer funds and supportstargeted and innovative children's cancer research with measurableresults, and is the authoritative source of information and resourcesfor all those affected by children's cancer.
Clinical research offers widespread impact for families whose child’s participation in trials promises a better chance for survival. Ultimately, clinical research represents the point at which scientific advances reach people, saving lives and changing the odds for kids now, and far into the future. CureSearch will support clinical trials that show promise in making a difference for children with cancer, today.
Among adults, less than 5% of those with cancer are enrolled in clinical trials. Yet for children, more than 60% of those with cancer participate in some form of clinical trial. Participation typically spans an average of two to three years and requires a lifetime of follow-up care.
Because clinical trials can save children’s lives today, CureSearch supports local hospitals with Clinical Trial Advancement Awards. These funds are available to all qualified hospitals that apply for funding, and will help accelerate the delivery of new therapies to children with cancer.
