As we enter the month of September, CureSearch for Children's Cancer invites you to join us for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month as we introduce Campaign 36 which honors the 36 children diagnosed with cancer every day, as well as all of the children and families whose lives are, or have been, touched by childhood cancer. This month, we'll feature a different child each day, share facts and figures about children's cancer, and highlight activities across the country. Read more 

 

Joseph Simone, MD Appointed Chair of CureSearch Scientific Advisory Council

 
   

CureSearch for Children's Cancer has announced the appointment of a Scientific Advisory Council, led by children's cancer expert Joe Simone, MD, to develop and guide its scientific strategy and subsequent funding of children's cancer research. The appointment of the Council comes at a time when CureSearch is expanding its research funding beyond clinical trials. Read more 

CureSearch to Award $1.2 Million to Young Investigators

 
   

CureSearch for Children's Cancer will award 12 $100,000 grants to Young Investigators focused on innovative research offering the greatest potential to design treatments and improve the outcomes for children with difficult-to-treat cancer. Read more 

Advocates from Across the Country Take to Capitol Hill

 
   

More than 200 advocates - past and present patients, families, and caregivers - gathered on Capitol Hill to encourage Senators and Representatives to support essential legislation for children's cancer research, including improved access to medications and survivorship programs. Read more 

Introducing Sarina Smith

 
   

Sarina was 3 ½-years-old when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Before diagnosis, Sarina was a normal, active child. Her parents became concerned when a tumor the size of a golf ball grew out of her neck. They began the journey to remission, reaching their destination when Sarina was 6 ½. Read more 

CureSearch Awards 50 Nursing Scholarships!

 
   

CureSearch is pleased to announce the recipients of this year's Association of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology Nurses (APHON) scholarships! These 50 nurses were selected through a competitive process and will each receive a $500 scholarship to attend the 36th Annual APHON Conference in Pittsburg, PA this October. Read more
