4th Annual Franklin Templeton Shootout 5k to Benefit CureSearch for Children's Cancer

Florida 5K brings community together in the fight against children's cancer

On Saturday, December 8th the 4th annual Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K presented by Shark Shootout Charities will start with hundreds of runners on a mission to live healthier lifestyles and find cures for children's cancer. The 5K is part of a weekend long event at the Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida and will start on the first day of the Shootout and finish prior to the start of tournament play. Participants will compete on a self-contained course within the Tiburon Golf Club community. Runners can register for the event by visiting http://www.franklintempletonshootout.com/5K.php. Each race registration also includes a day pass to the shootout.

The shootout is Southwest Florida's only PGA Tour event and is hosted by World Golf Hall of Famer, Greg Norman and will celebrate its 24th edition this year. Because of support from title sponsor, Franklin Templeton, the shootout has become one of the most prestigious and unique events on the PGA Tour. The one-of-a-kind competition features 24 of the world's top professional golfers playing on two-man teams in a mixed-format of modified alternate shot, better ball, and scramble.
