$200,000 to Children's Oncology Group Annual Meeting
Each year, COG researchers from across the world come together to spend an intensive 3 days reviewing scientific findings and setting the course for future children's cancer research. During this time, researchers work in both disease and discipline areas such as ALL, neuroblastoma, Long Term Follow Up, Nursing and AYA to share best practices, discuss trends and refine studies. $25,000 in Scholarships to Attend APHON Conference
CureSearch's mission is to fund children's cancer research and to provide information and resources for all those affected by children's cancer. We know that nurses play a very special role in caring for children with cancer and are pleased to help nurses earn the Continuing Education Units they need to remain on the forefront of providing care. When nurses have the most up-to-date knowledge, patients receive the best care.
CureSearch is making $25,000 in scholarships available to pediatric oncology nurses so they can participate in the annual Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON) conference in 2012. Through money raised at Foundation events, such as the CureSearch Walk, 50 $500 scholarships will be available to oncology nurses for next year's conference.
