June 10, 2010 (Clyde, OH) - The "Game On! Play Games, Fight Cancer!" event is from 1 to 4 p.m. June 18 in the Clyde Public Library meeting room.
The game afternoon is a project of SPLAT Teens, led by Emily Wood and Jennifer DeMoss.
Proceeds will go to Curesearch, a partnership of the National Childhood Cancer Foundation and Children's Oncology Group.
Admission is $5, and entitles the participant to two treat tickets and three entries to games of their choice.
Games planned include Magic, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart, Soul Caliber, StepMania and Guitar Hero. Prizes and treats have been donated by Game Source; Journey's Family Amusement Center; Fricker's; Denny's; Twistee Treat; Wendy's; Fontana's; Main Street Salon; and Mad Peppers Pizza N' Wings.
Game On! is open to all ages. Parents are encouraged to accompany children younger than 10.
