Louisville Makes Cancer Walk the Plank
Walkers support their local cancer fighters at CureSearch Walk

The Louisville Walk was held at the beautiful Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Walkers enjoyed a family friendly walk and ceremony which included a medal ceremony to name survivors and those in treatment as CureSearch Champions. Walkers also remembered those who have not survived with a balloon release.

Sam and the Cancer-Kicking Pirates made cancer walk the plank at the Walk and joined the ranks as one of the top fundraising teams. They came out in huge numbers to support their cancer fighter, Sam and show cancer that they will do anything to beat it.

They were joined by other members from the Louisville community who showed their spirit and support for the children in their lives who have been affected by childhood cancer. With twice as many walkers in attendance as last year, the Louisville Walk was a huge success. Teams are already looking forward to next year, to join them, visit www.curesearchwalk.org to find a walk near you.
